Cruz Gallástegui building
This building was built in the 1960s by the architect Alejandro de la Sota, being the first work of this famous architect.
Construction was commissioned by the CSIC to house modern laboratories and offices to substitute the obsoleted facilities of the Palace. The building was occupied in 1969 – 1970 and has undergone various reforms to preserve it and adapt it to new needs.
In 2004, its current name, Cruz Gallástegui, was decided as a tribute to the first director and founder of the MBG.
